Craig Sheridan is further proof that the south-east can produce some great songwriters. He not
only wears his heart on his sleeve but with an emotional voice and powerful lyrics, lets it bleed
down his arm. ‘Aurora’ and ‘One Track Road’ are great examples of this. ‘Times Change’ and
‘Winter Sunn’ are two great upbeat numbers that show a sunnier side to his song writing.
The album also contains a live acoustic version of ‘Times Change’, which opens with a beautiful
solo that makes it well worth listening to again. The real surprise on the album is the last track;
A gorgeous instrumental track called ‘Saskatoon Sunset’ that completely caught me off guard,
soaring and full of a grace that just washes over you like great ambient music should and I hope
he continues to follow in this style for the future. An incredibly promising debut.

Crashgate is the newest of a long line of rock bands to come out of the South East but in no way following trend, instead carving their own sound-wave to your ears. Formed in early 2011 this band are set to take Kent and the rest of the country by storm with their own unique style of spine tingling lyrics and vocals with a fusion of hair raising riffs and beats. Keep an eye out!!
